The Iconic Building of Jogja: BNI 46 Titik 0
Walking down the zero kilometers of Jogja, you will feel the hospitality of the people and the charms of this city.You will find one of the iconic buildings in Jogja, we called it BNI Jogja.
BNI – Bank National Indonesia (Bank Negara Indonesia) Building, the location is right at the “Jogja Zero Point” stands robustly with strong Dutch architect influence. The building was built during Dutch occupation and has become iconic background over Malioboro street, Yogyakarta, together with other buildings such as Pos Indonesia, Bank Indonesia, Fort Vredeburg Museum, and others.
Yogyakarta BNI Office building was established on 1922 and use an insurance office building of Netherlandsc Indisch Levensverzekering en Lijfrente Maattschappij for short. On July 5th, 1946 Margono Djojohadikusumo renovate this building and officially opened on August 17th, 1946 by Indonesia goverment and named it as BNI 46. Today BNI 46 name changed to BNI.
