Amikom University Signs Online MoU with Innovative International College (IIC) Malaysia
On June 10, 2021, Amikom University and Innovative International College (IIC) Malaysia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) online. The MoU was signed by the Rector of Amikom University, Prof. Dr. M. Suyanto, MM and the President of IIC, Puan Shahawati binti Umar.
The cooperation covers various fields, such as: Providing Industrial Internship Opportunities for Students and Staff from both institutions; Preparing Career Opportunities for students and staff, Joint Research, Joint Events and Projects, Student Exchange, and Opportunities for other beneficial cooperation for both institutions.
The MoU signing agenda was attended by the leaders from both institutions. From Amikom University, Prof. Dr. M. Suyanto (Rector of Amikom University), Dr. Arief Setyanto, S.Si., MT (Vice Rector IV), and Erik Hadi Saputra, S.Kom., M.Eng (Director of International Affairs Office), and Staff were present. Meanwhile, from IIC, Puan Shahawati binti Umar (President of IIC), Mohd Anas bin Mohd Bukhori (Vice President of IIC), Rahman bin Kashbi (Registrar of IIC), Puan Yahurin binti Mohd Yassin (Director of International Management Higher Education) were present. Along with Staff.
In this pandemic era, the cooperation between the two universities becomes more significant. Puan Shahawati said that they have a responsibility to ensure that future generations are not affected by the pandemic too deeply.
“The quality of education of future generations should not be reduced because of the effects of the pandemic. They must have equal opportunities for quality education,” she added.
This cooperation is expected to benefit both institutions in terms of academic development, research collaboration, cultural exchange, and global competitiveness. Amikom University is one of the leading private universities in Indonesia that focuses on creative economy based on entrepreneurship. It has produced graduates who are popular in the labor market and have won more than 80 international awards and 210 national awards in the fields of animation, game, and ICT . Amikom University also has a Creative Economy Park (ACEP) that collaborates with companies in Silicon Valley and Hollywood, providing new opportunities for students to do internships and for alumni to work in Silicon Valley and Hollywood.
IIC is a private college in Malaysia that offers diploma and degree programs in various fields such as business administration, accounting, hospitality management, early childhood education, and information technology. IIC aims to provide quality education that is affordable and accessible to all students regardless of their background.
By signing this MoU, both Amikom University and IIC hope to strengthen their relationship and enhance their mutual benefits in the future.
